The story starts from Conti Poggiolini, who guarded Pongibonsi, the fortification of Florence for the Medici family more than 600 years ago. In the 1980s, Mr. Zhou Hai Bo, an outstanding student who graduated from the Zhejiang University, then went overseas to Italy for his further studies. After more than 20 years, with the innovative and pragmatic business philosophy of Zhejiang businessmen, he successfully established his own fashion brand there. Step by step, following in the progress made in Sino-Italian economic and trade exchanges, Mr Zhou decided to expand his business scopes into the manufacturing industry, financial investment and cultural tourism industry. It is because of Mr. Zhou’s love for European wines, he established himself not only to the top rankings of Italian wine taster but also acquired the Pongibonsi Vineyard from the Pongibonsi family in Tuscany which the family current generations have not been able to repair the family castle which was built in the 16th century. When Mr. Zhou visited the vineyard and stood beside the grape yard, looking into the golden sun castle, it occurs to him and printed into his mind that many people can enjoy and experience such beauty of Tuscany charm – bringing to birth the dream of building a Tuscan castle in China.

Being an Honorary citizen of Shaoxing City, Mr. Zhou then decided to bring to China it’s first Tuscany Castle & Resort and with a total investment of Five Hundred million yuan to built this dream deep within the quiet territory of Shaoxing Kuai Ji Shan foothill. In order to duplicate  the original Tuscan and true authentic Italian mountain castle architecture, Mr. Zhou invited top Italian designer to overseas the architect designs, personally hand-pick the original brick stones from Italy and have them shipped across the workd to Shaoxing.
